Good Is... Other Formats

Mailshots

Here are some photographs of example net designs I could use for the mailshot. An interesting shaped mail shot would make my design stand out, so that when it was received in the post to the leaders, they would be intrigued to open it, and it would not get thrown away or forgotten. I will try making up machetes of the nets that I think will be most suitable.

Net for Mailshot

I've made this net on illustrator myself, based on a few nets that I've looked at and what a standard envelope looks like. I like this net as there is plenty of room inside for me to use to put information on, so I wouldn't have to include another piece of paper. This is good because I will be using lots of paper in the information pack, so it saves costs and also keeps it all intact and simple.

Net for Envelope

Based on the Japanese art of origami, the net for the envelope for guides to be able to send to the new friends they will make on the Jamboree, will be an origami envelope. It will be quite simple so it is easy to make. I think allowing this option for the guides to make and customise the envelope is more exciting that the guides being given just another piece of paper with information on it.

Contact Cards

The cards go alongside the envelopes with the theme of keeping in touch with new friends.

Net for Leaflet

The leaflet for the parents will start out as an A4 sheet, but will be folded in a way that makes it more interesting the way information is revealed when opening.

T-shirt Design Plans

Ideally I would have liked to screen print my design on to a variety of different shapes of t-shirts, but with time restrictions, I will iron on digitally printed transfers. The t-shirts are kept as simple as possible as a craft in the information pack is for the guides to customise the t-shirts to wear to their guide meetings.

Net for Bag

The bag is something I am creating after receiving my feedback in the last crit. The bag needs to be a big enough size to fit in the information pack and a t-shirt.

Poster

The poster is just a series of photographs from previous Jamboree's to help give the Guides an idea of what goes on at the camps. The poster will also be used inside the leaflet for parents. I have edited the colour balance, brightness and contrast on all of the images so that they match in with each other to a certain extent. I've experimented with laying out the images in different places.
