Product / Range / Distribution... Subject Research... Children's Classics

- New Idea -

Instead of creating picnic packs to do with the brothers Grimm fairytales, I have thought about other classic children's stories with food as a main theme, in particular Puffin children's classics.

On the left is an article from the Stylist magazine, about some of the top Puffins children's classics. My favourite is Alice in Wonderland so the chance to create a picnic pack based on this is quite exciting, as I know I'd enjoy doing it.

On the right is a book I found some articles about when researching the Puffin books. It is a cook book made with dishes eaten in some of the authors favourite traditional children's stories. This is such an unusual find, but a really good idea, as food imagery is an important part of many children's stories.

I'm going to start with designing for Alice in Wonderland, but I will propose my ideas for a set of five stories, relating back to what we learnt about in the last workshop. If I create a range of products for each five story, this would leave hundreds of outcomes!

I've started through going through my books of choice and picking out foods mentioned in them, and then I will think about a menu I can put together.
