Top 10 Things... 2nd Crit

Unfortunately I haven't been able to get done everything that I wanted to for the crit, with all the other deadlines I've had going on. This means that the feedback I have got is just for my initial ideas rather than my storyboards, so I need to get some storyboards made as soon as possible, as well as illustrator or photo shop mocks ups, to show others and then get feedback on these.

Here is my feedback from the crit:

Strengths

- The cupcakes are all unique and can be distinguished among the others
- You have decided on a distinct style that can be worked on
- Considered colour
- Considered style

Areas for improvement

- Get some storyboards put together so we can see your ideas in motion - Really important!
- What is the colour scheme?
- Begin creating vectors of the images

Considerations

- Look at the great british bake off and master chef for sound ideas - and you need to define your music choice now
- Decide on a final look for type, layout and colours
- You need storyboards to see how you plan to animate the range of styles you have looked into - is it modern or retro?

After the crit

There are so many things to do, and I think I am going in the right direction, I just need the time to get on with them. My feedback highlighted just how important creating a storyboard is. I also need to be able to make it clear which storyboards are for my idents and what storyboard is for my sequence.

I will then begin to create some vectors of my images. At this stage I'm still not sure whether I will use photographs of the cupcakes or illustrations, but with a little experimentation this is something I need to decide as soon as possible, to be able to make some illustrator or photoshop mock-ups.
