DP3/ Brief 3/ Design Development/ Type Tutorial 3.

http://www.computerarts.co.uk/tutorials/use-glyphs-create-striking-typographic-poster-indesign

I didn't really know what to expect with this tutorial, I just did it because I liked the example of the typographic poster that was shown with it. But I ended up really liking the end outcome and found this so fun to do. I have received good feedback when showing this design to others as well so it might be something I take further in to my design development.

This brief is all about using the available glyphs for a font to re-create your message. I think its quite relevant to a lot of the trends in graphic design at the moment.

I went for arial as there are so many glyph choices and spent ages playing about with writing my message.

I then neatened up the type a bit (although it could have done with a lot more work), such as trying to make the letters a more equal size.

I added a gradient background.. think I could still play around with all of this but still pretty impressed with the result.

I tried to write out a different quote in this style but don't think this one has worked. Need to play around and maybe try the glyphs from different fonts.
