I have thought about what I can add to my picnic pack to make it modern and to appeal to a younger audience, so I thought about a creating mock ups for the proposal of an App. The content could include: interesting facts, links to buy the book or the kindle book, history of the story, other merchandise, more books by the same author, and information on film adaptations.
I don't have an iPhone and I don't know much about apps, so I'll have to start with a bit of research and find some examples to help me mock up my proposal. After a bit of thought I've decided to make this into a webpage rather than an app so it is available to more people, as some peoples phones don't support apps. The app will be available by a QR code. I need to make sure this code works, and is large enough.
Decided Content
- What the story is about
- Image gallery
- Quotes from the book
- Character fact file
- Video clips from the films
- DVD, Book & Merchandise shop
- Bio of Lewis Carroll / other books
- Interesting facts - Alice in Wonderland syndrome
- Sightseeing - Alice in Wonderland statues

- The basic website will have the same type focus as the rest of the packaging. It needs to work on phones, iPads and computers with different size screens. I will mock up what the page will look like on these different screens.
After designing the rest of my products, I started making a website design that would match with the rest of my products.
I decided in the end to remove the last page from my submission boards. They included these categories:
This is because, while I had proposed these things and started thinking about them, I hadn't had time to start making them.
Here is the mock up of the website that I got up to. I am happy with just having this as a proposed concept for the picnic carrier, as I spent most of the YCN brief designing websites so I think I had improved this skill.
After 0 hours sleep I decided to give up on the website design as it really wasn't going anywhere.
