Here is a basic template of what will go on the carrier, which I printed out to help me understand what the box will be like when it is put together.
The carrier needs to be printed double sided on to A1 thick card.
Here are my screen shots of putting the carrier together, working where things will go, what size they need to be, what needs to be on the inside, how it needs to be printed... etc... The box is going to follow my initial plan, and be quite simple to hopefully look more sophisticated and appeal to the target audience.
When you're tired working out simple things like which way round things needs to go proves very complicated! The way this quote is read is that half is on one flap, and the other on the other half, which should looks really clever when its printed. Its hidden away under the lid as well so will be a surprise for when the box is opened.
I knew I wanted a border on my carrier, but didn't know whether I wanted it in colour or not... decided the colour looked too much and the white was more subtle and would match in better with the illustrations.
Nearly there, just a few more things I need to sort out and add. Think there is the right mix of the colours. I haven't used too much of the red as it is very over powering so I've just used a subtle amount on my products.
