Confirming my ideas to help me understand what I am doing better and to help me to tell other people. Although we're not at college during the time we have to create our answer for this brief, I will continue to ask my friends for feedback on how it can be improved.

Key Scenes
Here are the scenes I have chosen to create:
1. The robin shows Mary the way to find the door to the secret garden hidden under the ivy and the key buried in the soil
2. Mary and Dickon in the garden with their tools and seeds, as the garden turns from grey to green
3. Dickon with the animals (fox, squirrels, lamb and crow) in Colin's bedroom
4. Colin's wheelchair inside the garden
5. Mary, Dickon, Colin and Master Craven walking back to the manor
How I will draw the 2d images
After experiments, I have decided that they will be watercolour drawings, with fine writer drawn in to them where needed to show the detail
How I will create the 3d scenes
I have been inspired by the work of many paper craft artists, especially Kate Slater, and this is the kind of style I want to go for. As seen in Rob Ryan and some other creations, I will be leaving space for the text or trying to make it a part of the image
How I will photograph/edit the scenes
I will make the scenes in to shoeboxes, photograph them in a photo tent cube and then enhance them using Photoshop.
What type I will use
The type will be hand drawn, slightly decorative but easy to read to match in with the feel of the creations.
How I will lay out the information
The photographs and text will be designed to all fit in as one
How I will take it further
To accompany the book, I thought about designing packaging for seeds, so that the readers can grow their own secret garden. These will be seeds of flowers featured in the story. [Delphiniums, Columbines & Campanulas] I have decided not to focus on this to allow more time to concentrate on making my 3d scenes, as this is not a packaging brief, but a 3d paper craft one.
The stock I will use for the book
Mix of stocks to print
How I will create the book
Mock ups will help me decide which format to choose
How I will print the book
Printed in digital print
Any special finishes to the book
Emboss the cover? Or foil finish....
