Image... 2d to 3d to 2d... 3d Work

The making of...

Photographs of the making of my 3d scene of my original 2d chair idea, with this final version being inspired by my paper craft research.

All items hand cut with a scalpel except the flowers which were made with a flower cutter.

I've made everything 3d - something I've never done before when working with paper craft. Takes a lot, lot longer doing it this way but I'm happy with the results!

The making of the gigantic chair in comparison with the normal sized room

Window feature to make the room more realistic

Simplistic room set up, but with a few features, such as the mugs, to show how big the chair is in comparison, to make it obvious that this chair is gigantic. Different parts of it are shrinking at different times, to make this chair able to stand and also to try and make it obvious in just one photograph what is happening rather than having to use a few!

I'm really happy with the outcome, I know I could have done more with the room set up, but firstly, creating things like this is very time consuming, and secondly, I was a bit worried it would detract from the chair the more that I made.
