Sticker Sheets
Here are the shapes that will be included as stickers with the books. I have never printed stickers before so I am glad that I am doing something new. Also, if I get to laser cut as I wish, this will also be trying something new. I feel really inspired with this project and want to do the best I can. I did think about screen printing however this won't suit the clean, modern feel of the book.
Costs
When it came to printing the stickers, I had to re-think my project due to cost. All the stickers that I wanted to print wouldn't fit onto one A3 sheet, as there has to be a border around the area. Each A3 sheet costs £2 to print. I don't want to make my book any more expensive than £5, as I think this is a lot to ask for anymore, but we must sell them for this price at least. Then I decided that each book would only be able to have one sheet of stickers.
Other costs to factor in:
- A4 acetate costs £1 per sheet
- A4 tracing paper 10p per sheet
- A4 own stock 20p per sheet
- A4 stock to buy 10p per sheet
- A4 gloss 75p per sheet
- A3 sticker sheet £2 per sheet
As I want to use a mixture of stocks this could get quite expensive.
Here are the stickers sheets. I have printed some extra stickers to use to seal the belly band. I would liked to have included more if it wasn't for the price.
