1. The first ident I will work on will be based on my storyboard inspired by the Fresh Meat intro. I think there is a good mix of type and illustration here.
I have used a polka dot background that I previously created.
I have animated the text with the effects we learnt in the fourth software workshop, altering the key points of the source text, using an animator, range selector and editing opacity.
I have experimented with different type effects but decided not to use them as they look too much with everything that is going on anyway.
This shows how the images appear one by one.
I need to go back to this ident and correct the positioning of the text, and just to make it look neater in general, but apart from that, I quite like this ident.
I have begun to edit this ident, based on the feedback from my crit, as well as making it fit in with the other idents I have created.
I have been editing the colour scheme, and have added pink behind the polka dots to make it fit in a bit better. I have changed the illustration of the banoffee cupcake to a triple chocolate one, as I didn't want to idents beginning with the same cupcake as thats a bit repetitive.
It has been taking me a while to figure out how I want the text at the start, and I've been playing around with the settings. I think changing the font so that the same font isn't used throughout is a good idea to keep the ident interesting. I have been re-doing reveal effect.
I have been using animators to make text colour more exciting
I have made the end fit in with the others.
Now I have made changes to this ident, I am happy. This is my final video:
