YCN... Peacocks Competitors Research

To understand why some competitors are more successful that Peacocks are, we need to look into these brands and see what they are offering that Peacocks isn't, and to look at their designs. Then we can think about what Peacocks is missing and how we can change that.

Here is what I have thought of:

Other High Street Stores

Primark - Word of mouth, doesn't have advertising campaigns, can buy basics, everything you need with home ware/mens/kids as well, always new clothes, known for being so cheap
New Look - Student discounts, cheap prices, often has offers on, seems like a loyal brand
Top Shop - Collaborations with designers get it a lot of attention, very popular with students, offers student discounts, often worn by celebrities, lots of different looks, well designed advertisements, stores look good and layout is easy to navigate around
Urban Outfitters - Known to be quite 'cool', well designed advertisements, attractive logo and store fronts to draw customers in, pieces are unique, sells gifts as well
Miss Selfridges - Student discounts, latest fashions, good quality
River Island - Well known brand, does a range where fashions students design
H&M - Collaborations with designers, known worldwide, cheap prices, good quality pieces, can buy basics as well

Online Stores

ASOS - Everything you need, has an ASOS magazine, advertises in magazines, well designed website
Missguided - Online social presence on Facebook, continuous offers, mailing list, bright designs
Very - Celebrity collaborations, offers and discounts, celebrity endorsements
Boohoo - Attends shows like Clothes Show Live
